Medical Warning: These calculations are based on epidemiological data and peer-reviewed research. Individual health impacts vary based on genetics, overall health, and other factors. Alcohol is a Group 1 carcinogen (same category as tobacco and asbestos) with no safe consumption level according to the WHO. The damage shown is cumulative and largely irreversible.

How We Calculate These Numbers

We use simple, evidence-based averages to estimate your yearly totals. Each drink is counted as one standard drink (about 0.6 fluid ounces of pure alcohol) — roughly a 12 oz beer, 5 oz glass of wine, or 1.5 oz shot of spirits. Your weekly inputs are multiplied across 52 weeks to estimate annual totals.

Costs are based on your entered price per drink, while calories are estimated using average values for each drink type (Beer ≈150, Wine ≈120, Spirits ≈100 calories).

Gallons are calculated from standard serving sizes — for example, 12 oz beers add up to about 65 gallons per year if you drink eight per week.

Note: These numbers are for educational insight only and shouldn't replace professional guidance. They're meant to give you a clearer picture of how small habits can add up over time.
